Kazuo Soda lit incense at the GENBAKU NO HI ceremony in 2005.
The severely ill Kazuo Soda, Hibakusha (atomic bomb victim) traveled to the Buddhist temple
at the peace pagoda in Vienna, in order to participate in the 2005 ceremony.
Kazuo Soda survived the dropping of the atomic bomb on Nagasaki and has been an activist ever since. He feels he has a responsibility
to continuously point out the dangers
of the atomic bomb.
He has been awarded the “Aachener Friedenspreis” (»Achen Peace Award«), amongst other awards.
